🔒 VivaWhiz is designed for children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Children under 13 in the United States cannot create an account without verified parental consent.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or any sensitive personal data.
If a child under 13 attempts to sign up, we require a parent or guardian to provide verified consent via email before the account is activated. The child's account remains inactive until consent is received.

Any account holder can delete their own account directly from the app at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete My Account) — this deletes the account immediately, no waiting required. Parents can also request deletion on a child's behalf by emailing privacy@vivawhiz.com.
We never use children's data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing. We use the following service providers strictly to operate the app:
We retain account data for as long as the account is active. Deleting your account in the app removes all associated personal data immediately. Deletion requests made by email are processed within 30 days. Learning progress data in anonymised aggregate form may be retained for product improvement.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. We regularly review our security practices.
When students join a live classroom session via vivawhiz.com/join, they participate using only a display name. No account creation or personal information is required to join a session. Session data is not retained after the session ends.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify parents of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
